Custom Quilting
by Pamela Alexander
Every quilt is a unique work of art, stitched with its own story. While each piece reflects your vision and narrative, I am truly honored to be a part of bringing that story to life. In my Fresno, California studio, I offer intricate, hand-guided custom quilting to add beautiful detail and a personal touch to your quilt.
Hand-Guided Custom Longarm Quilting
I specialize in hand-guided custom quilting, blending precise ruler work with organic elements like spirals, leaves, and pebbles to create unique designs. Each detail is hand-guided through the entire quilting process for a truly custom result.

Digitized Custom Longarm Quilting
For digitized custom quilting, I use digital quilting elements to fill designated areas through careful, manual placement. Depending on the project, I may incorporate all digitized designs or blend them with free-motion and/or ruler work. Stitch-in-the-ditch work may also be hand-guided, as needed, based on the project and our plan.

Note: If a specific digitized design you’d like is not in my collection, I’ll work with you to source and purchase it, with the cost shared equally between us.

Custom Longarm Quilting Pricing
Pricing for custom quilting depends on the unique needs of each project. Ruler work typically takes more time than free-motion quilting, and intricate or dense designs often require additional time compared to looser patterns. While custom pricing is generally based on an hourly rate and estimated time, you may estimate costs at approximately $0.08–$0.15 per square inch.
Edge to Edge
Quilting
Edge-to-edge quilting, priced from $0.05 to $0.25 per square inch, is making a strong comeback as the preferred method for finishing quilts. If you don’t find a design you love, I’m happy to split the cost of a new digital design with you, as long as we both agree! Just click the Edge-to-Edge Designs button below to explore a sample of my available patterns—and feel free to request a consultation to discuss other options!
