About the event
In this class you will be learning about the construction of blocks, chain sewing, organization of colors and pieces so that your works goes smoothly!
We will construct the entire top of the quilt in class. If you choose to quilt it on your machine, week 3 will have options to quilt- yes- on your sewing machine! Stitch in the ditch and a whole lot more!
Fabrics Required:
41” x 41” Wall/lap/Table topper
Acorn and Leaf blocks: 1 charm pack
Accent A: for star blocks, fat eighth
Accent B: for berries, fat eighth
Background: 1 1/8th yards
Border, thin sashing: ¼ yard
Border: ½ yard
Backing: 2 ¾ yard
Binding: 3/8th yard
Bring to class:
Sewing Machine- with foot pedal, knee lift, cord, jeans needles, zipper foot
Rotary cutter, mat and at least a 12” x 3” ruler
Thread to match your fabric choices
Quilting pins, scissors, clips
Other Options:
Small square rulers to trim blocks
Plastic binder sleeves- for your pattern to open
